Kani is a work of art – literally. Weavers in Kashmir have been using this technique for centuries to create elaborate scarves and apparel with characteristic nature-inspired motifs. Traditional kani-weaving requires incredible skill and patience – a single scarf can take over a year to make. This scarf is made in a power loom, and hand-finished (each of the loose threads has to be carefully trimmed).
